Tulsa based company is seeking two qualified CNC Lathe Machinists. Full time, Monday thru Friday, 6:00am : 2:00pm. The position is paying 23 : 26 per hour.
JOB SUMMARY:
As instructed, CNC Machinist will set:up and operate CNC Lathes and Turning centers. Edit programming and tooling offsets as needed to provide parts to print. Produce quality turned parts, check own work and keep machine and area neat and orderly. This position will be a strong team player.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD and T). xF0B7; Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

Sets:up Okuma, (Windows control), Mazak (Mazatrol), Kia (Fanuc) mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three: and four:jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads. xF0B7; Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. xF0B7; Verifies settings by measuring positions, first:run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards. xF0B7; Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. xF0B7; Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. xF0B7; Maintains equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. xF0B7; Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. xF0B7; Documents actions by completing production logs. xF0B7; Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. xF0B7; Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. xF0B7;

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: 5 years in machine shop setting up and running CNC lathes.
Knowledge: Common knowledge of some mechanics, use of specific tools and gages with ability to read and follow instructions. HS math, read, write and understand English.
